On a personal note, fifteen years ago, there were a few hundred Virtual Worlds and Web3D experts. Nowadays, there are tens of thousands worldwide. So if you want to join the Global Movement of the Metaverse builders and explorers, now it's time. GAME-ON!
1# Samsung and 'The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon' made a Fortnite game
"Tonight at the Rock - Powered by Samsung" is a new Fortnite experience created by Momentum and built by Beyond digital Agency.
Players enter with their avatars to a cartoon-like 30 Rockefeller Plaza next to a miniature version of Times Square and a subway stop station. They can play a few mini-games, including Giant Pong, racing games, and an "escape room" game to get out of Studio 6B, where the "Tonight Show" is filmed. In addition, players can use in-game power-ups of Samsung's mobile phones, watches, and tablets.
Why Fortnite?
Samsung reviled its digital strategy goal in an official announcement:
"With this initiative, our goal is simple: To drive awareness for the Samsung brand with Gen Z while delivering an experience that remains true to our core of customization and personalization…This partnership [with NBCUniversal] is incredibly fun and unique for consumers to engage with our products in a safe and entertaining environment. - Janet Lee, SVP of mobile experience at Samsung Electronics America.
Community, Economy, and Culture is the Metaverse.
Let's Entertain! On the Phygital launch of the show, Fortnite World Cup Champion Bugha joined Jimmy Falon. Together they played the Tonight at the Rock - Powered by Samsung Galaxy. Next, they headed to the roof of 30 Rock to play a real-life version of the gaming experience built-in Fortnite. Finally, the gameful and funny item finished with Jimmy's CTA for his show fans.

I prefer to play Call of Duty or GTA. However, according to Business of Apps, Fortnite has more than 83 million monthly active users.
As Erika Wheless pointed out on Ad Age
Fortnite seems to resonate with a slightly older demographic (one that would stay up until to watch late-night talk shows). More than 60% of Fortnite's player base is between 18 and 24 years old.
In August 2022, Fortnite was ranked seven on Twitch's popular streaming platform based on 45 million hours watched.
Samsung's previous efforts to connect with Gen Z in the Metaverse include immersive experiences in Zepeto, Roblox, and Sandbox.

I was invited to a Startup pitch event in Tel-Aviv five years ago. One of the presenters that impressed me most was Noam Levavi. He took the stage by storm as he presented his Startup company vision about the future of Virtual Reality for e-Commerce and Marketing.
Since then, the market has changed dramatically. At Connect 2021 Convention, Mark Zuckerberg's rebranded facebook to Meta Platforms, Inc. That was a key landmark, signaling the shift of attention to the future of the internet. As a result, Web3 and the Metaverse became mainstream.

#3 Cognitive3D raises $2.5M for spatial analytics for 3D apps
Convoy announced its' lead investment in Cognitive3D, a spatial analytics platform for the enterprise. Cognitive3D, based in Vancouver, raised a $2.5M seed round. It enables organizations to analyze consumer behavior in virtual reality environments and the Metaverse.

Spatial data analytics includes where users look and engage with the 3D environment, where they spend the most time, and how they navigate and interact with virtual objects. Dean Takahashi at VentureBeat points out the Privacy issues raised at The "Ethics of the Metaverse" GamesBeat Summit, by scholars and ethics observers Kent Bye and Micaela Mantegna:
The ability to collect sensitive bio-metric information in the Metaverse is much greater than other platforms.
I believe that Builders of the Metaverse should have a Humanitarian and ethical code first. The Future of the Metaverse should have Ethics and user Privacy as one of its pillars. The Metaverse Standards Forum, which now has over 1500+ Members, also supports that.

Take a Multiverse strategy, and invest in several metaverse platforms. However, do not put all your (virtual) eggs on one platform.

A Multiverse Marketing Mindset focuses on building a consistent and lasting presence over time. Invest in the Multiverse, Expand it n accordance with your Brand's goals.
2️⃣ Happiness engineering is your secret weapon:
Use the principles of game-thinking methodology and gamification to design epic experiences for the players. The experiences should be in the spirit and values of your Brand. Imagine spreading a large fishing net. Your Brand's immersive experiences should attract as many types of user personas as possible.

3️⃣ Listen carefully to your players.
Communication channels for real-time feedback and user requests are crucial for success. Therefore, I strongly recommend setting them up before and during the launch of your Brand's Multiverse Verticals (chosen Metaverses/ Gaming platforms).
